    How to apply for a position

    Email your résumé and cover letter to [email protected] or call us on (08) 6279 3444 to make an appointment with one of our consultants. Many of our positions are not advertised so it is important to register your interest with us.

    Résumé preparation

    Your résumé is the most important tool in matching your skills and interests with the right job. Your résumé should clearly outline:

    • personal details including correct telephone number and email address
    • previous employment positions listed chronologically with a brief description of your responsibilities in each position, the length of time in each position, software/programs used and a summary of your skills and abilities
    • recent educational history
    • professional/workplace courses or training
    • at least three work related referees and their contact numbers

    Our trained consultants can offer résumé advice to you highlight your skills in the best way possible.

    The initial interview

    Prior to your first meeting you will need to provide us with a copy of your résumé, ideally via email.

    For the interview please also bring along a hardcopy of your résumé as well as proof of relevant qualifications and courses.

    Priority Appointments offer a relaxed interview process with consultants on hand to discuss your career history, employment preferences and salary expectations.

    If you have applied for a specific position our consultants will brief you on what the role involves, the application process requested by the client and the expected timeframe for placement.

    Our consultants work tirelessly to actively find you to the right job in the right organisation and can continue to assist in managing your career if required. Interview question practice can be provided as can assistance in drafting a cover letter template.

    For some positions you may be requested to undertake a variety of skill assessment tests including software packages, typing speed and accuracy tests and, if applicable, psychometric (personality/cognitive ability) testing.

    Follow up

    Once you have registered with Priority Appointments it is vital you remain in contact with us. Please let us know if your circumstances or contact details change so we can keep our databases up to date.
